This is not surprising, as an intellectual is a human being, with all the meanings and implications that word carries... They are delighted and pained by what delights and pains their fellow human beings, regardless of their varied colors, diverse ethnicities, or differing beliefs. Therefore, this intellectual sacrifices everything to champion humanity, exposing themselves to various harms and schemes, and perhaps enduring various forms of persecution... Yet, none of this deters them from their mission for which they have dedicated themselves.
