This book critically examines the theatrical works of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, focusing on the symbolism of masks, the interpretation of history, and the myth of heroism. Originally a master's thesis for a degree in Arabic Language and Literature, the researcher explored themes of theater, history, and masks in drama, the image of the legendary historical hero, intertextuality, and the mask between literature and theater, among other contemporary critical approaches that intertwine theater, history, philosophy, and literary theories.
The book was awarded the Best Emirati Book (in Studies) at the 33rd Sharjah International Book Fair in 2014.
