About the novel:
The novel begins with the interpretation of a girl's dream, which increases her pain and suffering in her heart and exhausts her mind. Then her memory returns to the reasons for this dream and interpretation.
The novel revolves around a young girl (Jourieh) who goes out for two hours and returns collapsed, shattered, and shocked, because of a reckless young man who destroyed her femininity and tenderness after he was her friend who lives near her uncle's house and no one from her family was able to know what happened except her cousin (Ahmed). Days pass and she hates all men except her cousin who helped her and stood up to her cousins. The girl grows up and the pain is still there, and her pain increases with her friends' thoughts about her love for another young man (Ziad) who enters her life without warning. Dreams and interpretations begin to haunt her and hatred and malice towards them increases more and more when she learns that the two young men are relatives. The young man is confused by the girl's treatment of him at first until he insists on exploring what she conceals in herself, to find himself falling in love with her, and the fate of his love for her is unknown, will she appease him as a husband?! Or will she throw his hopes into the abyss of her hatred?! ..
As for her family, they believe that once she gets married, the crisis she has been going through for many years will end, and they hope that her heart will soften towards her cousins...
The novel ends with Jourieh learning about the lie she lived and suffered with for many years, and forgiving the one who caused it.
