This book chronicles cases related to information technology and internet crimes that occurred within the United Arab Emirates. Each case is a narrative from its authors, particularly those affected by it. It confirms beyond any doubt that Emirati law has been strict and decisive in dealing with these crimes.
I obtained these cases through publications by the official judicial authorities in the country, as well as the police reports, prosecution procedures, and court rulings I monitored, in addition to cases published in daily newspapers published in the UAE.
In listing the 35 cases, I have tried to focus on the most common crimes, particularly those resulting from the negative use of information technology and the Internet, such as slander, defamation, threats, harassment, violations of rights and privacy, and fraud.
I also took care in the book to remove any necessary legal terms and terminology, or any narrative that would not be effective in the overall context of the case, in order to convey the idea and content of the case in a clear and smooth manner that would convey a lesson and moral.
