Poems dedicated to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan

The first edition of this poetry collection was published in the late 1980s, followed by a second edition in 1991. It includes nine long poems by the poet Hamad Khalifa Abu Shahab, including two Nabati poems at the end of the collection. The titles of the poems are as follows: “Good News Sung by Birds in the Thicket,” “Oh Eid, Come Back to Me a Little While Ago,” “From the Heart to My People, My Greetings,” “Oh Eid, Your Master Has Enough of Your Appointment,” “He Who Greets You Expresses His Banu and Follows Him,” “Stop with Meanings and Greet the Constructive Leader,” “Poetry Flourishes with It and Logic Soars,” “Our Heritage, O Maker of Glory, Blesses You,” and “Congratulations, Praise, and Greetings to You.” All the poems in the collection express overwhelming feelings of love and loyalty to the founder of the nation and the founder of the Renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They also touch upon Sheikh Zayed’s local and regional achievements.
