Educational implications in the writings of Muhyi al-Din Ibn al-Arabi

The book comprises three chapters. The first, titled "Ibn al-Arabi: His Era and Writings," introduces his personality and the era in which he lived, and the influence of that era and its events on the direction of his writings and works. It also includes an analysis of the nature of Ibn al-Arabi's works in general, with the aim of revealing and analyzing the educational implications they contain. The book highlights the importance of studying the era in which any thinker emerged, in order to uncover the political, economic, and social factors that may have influenced the formation of his thought and personality.
The second chapter, titled "Methodological Procedures for the Analytical Study," revealed the educational implications through Ibn al-Arabi's writings, works, and letters, and the extent of their connection to modern educational principles and practices. Meanwhile, the third chapter, titled "Results of the Analytical Study," reviewed the most important educational implications to confirm that these works contain references related to the aspects and components of education in general.
The book's conclusion included "extractions" of the educational implications from Ibn al-Arabi's selected writings. The author points out the difficulty of this process, especially since Ibn al-Arabi moves in his writings from one topic to another according to his own presentation style, and he may not follow a specific order, which appears as if it were a cognitive rambling. In addition, his writings are not devoid of presenting noble ethics and transcendent meanings that are suitable for being "educational implications," whether religious, cultural, social, or political. This posed a difficulty for the author in determining whether these implications could be considered specifically educational or not.
Among the most important of these extractions, established by Sheikha Fatima Al Qasimi's book, is the interconnectedness of Ibn al-Arabi's educational ideas, as if they operate within an integrated system, as well as the comprehensiveness of his knowledge, his interest in topics at the core of scientific and cosmic philosophy, his linking of education to reality, and his consideration of knowledge itself as an integrated system.
