A deep friendship quickly blossoms between this cultured man, steeped in Eastern philosophy, and this wonderful wildling, driven by powerful instincts, who lives life to the fullest, loves nature and women, recounts his romantic adventures with unparalleled vigor, and speaks with wisdom more eloquent than any philosopher. The mine investment ends in failure, but the story the reader experiences with these two protagonists and the others, especially the adventurous woman who falls in love with Zorba, remains one of the great masterpieces of modern literature. It was recently adapted into an excellent film starring Anthony Quinn as Zorba, alongside Irene Papas as the widow who sacrificed herself for the glory of the village. A remarkable novel that will remain at the forefront of world literature.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
