A valuable and precise linguistic book, in which he discusses the fundamentals of writing, its etiquette and knowledge, and mentions a number of theoretical and practical etiquettes that every writer should adhere to, which we can call in our time: the necessary culture for the writer. The author, may God have mercy on him, wanted to make the book a companion for every writer who intends to correct his tongue and hand. Ibn Khaldun praised this book in his introduction, saying: “We heard from our sheikhs in educational sessions that the foundations of this art, i.e. (language, literature and its pillars), are four collections: Adab al-Katib by Ibn Qutaybah, Al-Kamil by Al-Mubarrad, Al-Bayan wa al-Tabyin by Al-Jahiz, and Al-Nawadir by Abu Ali Al-Qali Al-Baghdadi. Everything else is appendixes to them and principles derived from them.”
