Animal Farm

Alice, a ten-year-old girl, was sitting with her sister Lamis one day in the garden. Lamis was engrossed in a book she was reading, so Alice thought of making a jasmine necklace, given her sister's preoccupation.

While in the garden, she saw a rabbit wearing fancy clothes looking at its watch and saying, "Oh dear, I'm terribly late! It's already noon." The rabbit quickly ran off after saying those words. Alice was very surprised and threw the jasmine flowers she had picked, following the rabbit. As she was running, she fell into a large hole, and then heard the rabbit say, "My whiskers, my ears! I fear the Queen's wrath because I'm late for my appointment with her." Alice emerged from the hole and followed the rabbit again until she found herself in a place resembling a large hall with closed doors, leading to a very long and narrow tunnel. Alice couldn't enter it because it was too narrow. Alice found a bottle shaped like a doll. Alice picked it up, and the doll told her, "Drink me, drink me." Alice drank from the water in that bottle. After Alice drank the water, her size became suitable to enter that tunnel. So she entered it, and it led her to a very beautiful garden. In the garden, Alice saw a cake with "Eat me, carry me" written on it. Alice ate it, and no sooner had she finished eating than a disaster occurred; Alice turned into a very giant girl. The beautiful rabbit saw Alice and was afraid of her giant size, so he ran far away.

As he fled, a glove fell from his hand. Alice picked up the glove and found a small fan inside it. As soon as Alice turned on the fan, she returned to her normal size and was no longer giant. Alice rejoiced and threw the fan into a lake. But the surprise was that Alice found a sign near the lake that read (Lake of Tears), and she heard a mouse's voice in the lake saying, "Help me! Help me!" Alice rescued the mouse, and after that, she found something strange and giant, with two colors. She decided to taste it. Alice discovered that there was a palace behind this giant plant. Alice approached the door, and it opened. A beautiful princess appeared to Alice, holding a crying baby, and a small cat walked around her feet. Alice looked at the princess, but the princess paid her no attention and said, "I have an appointment with the Queen." The cat stood between Alice's feet, saying to her, "I know what you're looking for," and pointed with her paw, saying, "Over there, Alice, there lives a charming rabbit. Hurry to visit him." Alice thought the White Rabbit had disappeared, but after a few steps, she found the Grey Rabbit with the Mad Hatter having tea together, and she also found a sleeping mouse sitting between them. After a moment, the Mad Hatter carried the mouse and lifted the teapot lid, placing the mouse inside. Alice left the rabbit and the Mad Hatter and continued her way through the forest. She found a very large tree, and at the base of this giant tree was a large door. She entered through the door and found the White Rabbit in front of her, and behind him, an officer carrying the king's crown. But she was surprised that everyone looked like moving drawings, even the Queen and King looked as if they were playing cards. The Queen approached Alice and asked her if she would like to play a game of croquet with them, or if she preferred to go with the parrot to take her to the sad turtle. Alice heard a cat laughing, exclaiming, "Hello, I am the Cheshire Cat! I learned to laugh in the Chrysanthemum Forest." He also told her, "Look behind you, those are the inseparable twins. One is known for asking many questions, and the other..." Then the cat burst into laughter.

The cat suddenly disappeared, and the twins jumped for joy. The one who asked many questions said, "I want to learn how that cursed cat disappears." Alice was truly amazed by the Cheshire Cat, so she asked, "How did you suddenly disappear and reappear?!" The monkey said, "It's the blue chrysanthemums, so bring me some of them, but beware of the giant guard." Alice went to the land of chrysanthemums, and the twins remained standing in front of the Cheshire Cat, watching him disappear again. Then they heard a cry for help from afar: "Help! Help!" Alice returned and found the parrot and the turtle on her way. Both were waiting for the King and Queen, and when they arrived, the trial began, and everyone who lost the game of croquet was executed. The parrot laughed when he saw Alice's tears, saying, "They are men of paper. Tomorrow, the trees will sprout others." The White Rabbit returned again, carrying a cake, and Alice felt extremely hungry and craved a piece of it. But the Mad Hatter arrived quickly and offered her a piece of cake and a cup of tea, saying, "Here you go, I'm leaving. They've summoned me to court because I'm the key witness." The King shouted, "Bring the second witness!" The Mad Hatter entered, and the White Rabbit unrolled a paper and read aloud, "The third witness, Alice..." "I am here. What do you know about the matter?" Alice replied, "I don't know the matter, sir." The Queen became angry at Alice's answer and said, "She rejects the verdict before it's issued. What nonsense! Only fools reject a verdict before it's issued." The Queen's face flushed, and the King became angry and shouted at the soldiers, "Arrest her!" Alice laughed, saying, "You are men of paper; I can tear you all apart." The soldiers flew into the air towards Alice, like autumn leaves scattering, and the King was shouting, "Number 6, forward! Number 7, up! Number 3, ahead! Go, and be careful not to let Alice catch any of you!" Alice screamed, "Come on, I'm not afraid of paper, nor do I fear it! The King or Queen cannot harm me because they are also made of paper." The battle continued between the soldiers and Alice, and the soldiers could not wound her, even though some of them also carried paper swords. Alice was picking up the papers and putting them in her pocket until she heard her sister Lamis's voice saying, "Alice, wake up, Alice! Wake up, Alice!" And Alice's beautiful dream in Wonderland ended.
