The Great Sedition, Part 1 - Taha Hussein

Describing it as the "Great Sedition" is not an exaggeration; for the sedition that began during the reign of the Rightly Guided Caliph Othman, and extended into the caliphate of Ali and his sons, almost destroyed the Islamic state. It and its repercussions are still being studied, as many writers have addressed it in an attempt to uncover the truth. Among the most prominent figures who discussed it is Taha Hussein, who, with his literary style, attempted to analyze one of the most dangerous and sensitive issues in Islamic history. The author sought to adopt a "historical neutrality" between the two parties, shedding all bias or inclination, striving to highlight the real reasons behind the sedition that led to Othman's murder, based on analyses of the Islamic society's reality at that time.
