The great writer Taha Hussein's intense desire for knowledge drove him from his youth until the last days of his life. He would spend long hours daily listening to his assistants or colleagues read to him whatever books he wished, and even after his star shone in the world of thought and literature and he held prominent positions, he never stopped reading and exploring new literary works published for young people or adults. In this book, he discusses some of the books that caught his attention or that he admired, which varied between modern Arabic, French, and American literature, among others. He decides to share with the reader the pleasure of discovering new and valuable fruits of minds. The book also includes various intellectual and critical opinions characterized by the boldness that distinguished his intellectual style.
