Philosophy of fear

It's hard to imagine an exciting world completely devoid of fear. In a completely safe world, fear can break the monotony of life. The feeling of fear can elevate our lives. It's not good to live in the shadow of fear. "The man who fears suffering already suffers fear." It's also hard to imagine fear ever disappearing completely. Joseph Conrad said in this regard :

Fear remains forever. One can destroy any of one's innermost being: love, hate, faith, even doubt, but one cannot rid oneself of fear as long as one clings to life: that terrifying, subtle, and indestructible fear that permeates one's being, clouds one's thoughts, lurks in one's heart, and watches as one's lips quiver as one breathes his last.

These words exaggerate the role fear plays in human life, portraying it as the only thing left after everything else has died out. The role fear plays in our lives depends on how much we allow it to play. It is possible for us to try to counter the routine imposed by fear, and we can try to replace it with hope.
