The waiter who served the cup of coffee

The horizon looms before him, a thin thread of dawn stretching out, thread after thread joining it until the sun announces the birth of a new sunrise, while that old, squinting man advances like “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” in the Japanese painting “Ho” Kosai. He staggers down a narrow street that connects two main streets, passing one of them and approaching the other. He walks with slow steps while clutching in his right hand a medium-sized black bag that has weighed him down. He finally reaches the end of the narrow street, dripping with sweat. He quickly crosses the crowded road to the opposite side. This is without him knowing that behind him are those watching him and stalking his steps, and that he is very close to his inevitable fate.
