Coffee in the poetry of the ninth century AH. The research used the integrative approach. It included several topics represented in: The first topic: Coffee, its origins and status. It discussed the meaning of coffee, the history of its discovery, the tools used to prepare it, the methods of preparing it, the status of coffee among the Arabs, and their interest in everything related to it. The second topic: referred to the term coffee and its legal ruling. It presented the controversy surrounding its permissibility and prohibition from a legal perspective, and explained its harms and benefits. The third topic: came under the title: Coffee in the production of poets, and it devoted poetry that dealt with coffee as a subject. The research concluded by emphasizing that the emergence of coffee led to controversy in Islamic societies regarding it in terms of permissibility and prohibition, and the intervention of jurists and poets in the matter, and they were divided into two groups: The first group: supporters of coffee, urging people to drink it and explaining its various benefits. The second group: opponents of coffee, warning against drinking it, explaining its harms and the aspects of its prohibition. He also emphasized that the entry of poets into this field led to the emergence of a new, integrated subject and art form in this era: coffee bean poetry.
