This novel is my first experience in short stories in the Arabic language. I have previously written some books and publications in the English language, which were well received by those interested, praise be to God. I would like to point out that I wrote it specifically in 2013, while I was a prisoner in the United States of America. It is a satirical comedy novel with political dimensions that depicts the suffering of a group of people from different Arab and Islamic countries and from different social environments, who were brought together by circumstances and the negative view that the West holds of Muslims and Islam until they were unjustly imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay.
You will find in this novel a diverse mix of human emotions that vary according to the characters of the story and its heroes, who were chosen by divine will and my imagination to embody human conditions characterized by spontaneity, simplicity, and brokenness, like most of the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world in our current time.
The novel is based on classical Arabic in narrating the story, and simplified English to express the foreign side represented by the soldiers and jailers, and I flavored the different Arabic dialects of the life situations of the novel’s heroes with liveliness and more realism . I invite dear readers to wander between the sides of this novel, which depicts an epic of the life epics that we live at the present time in light of the circumstances of political crises, and to stop at every situation and every event that its characters go through. You will not find a detailed description of the blood and violence usually practiced in prisons because it has a purely human content, and in the end, I am only concerned with showing human cases that have suffered from the injustice and oppression of others on the one hand, and the neglect and surrender of their governments on the other hand, in a comedic form that alleviates the severity of the event and the loneliness of the place.
