Kinch na Shanak owes the Thieves Guild a hefty sum for teaching him the skills of a thief, which include—but are not limited to—picking locks, knife fighting, wall scaling, fall mimicking, voice mimicry, trap-making, and a bit of basic magic. This debt has led him to wait by the ancient forest road, plotting to rob any traveler who crosses his path. But today, Kinch has chosen the wrong target. Galva is a warrior, a survivor of the brutal Goblin Wars, and a servant of the Death Goddess. She is searching for her queen, who disappeared after a distant city in the north fell to the giants.
