A weekend at a cozy hotel in the mountains is supposed to be the perfect escape. But when a bad storm hits, no one can escape. Set in the winter months of the Catskill Mountains, the Mitchell Hotel, nestled deep in the woods, is the perfect place for a quiet—or romantic—weekend away from the city. The hotel boasts spacious, old-fashioned rooms with wood-burning fireplaces and a well-stocked wine cellar. There are opportunities to go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, or just stay put with a killer murder mystery. So when the weather turns bad and a blizzard cuts off the power—cutting off all contact with the outside world—guests stay put. They soon discover that one of their guests has died, and it all looks like an accident. But when a second guest dies, panic sets in. Inside this idyllic place surrounded by snow, something - or someone - is killing the residents one by one, and there's nothing they can do but prepare for danger and hope to survive the storm.
