This book explores the underlying reasons for the transformation of the Western attitude towards Jews: from intense hostility, forcing them to convert, and blaming them for certain historical events, to unconditional and brazen support for the settler-colonial state. It presents a concise history of Europe to understand the mechanisms of its development and the determinants of its behavior, focusing on five centuries from the fall of Granada in the fifteenth century and the establishment of the Spanish Inquisition to the rise of the settler-colonial state in the twentieth century. These five centuries constitute the core of the Western colonial era, during which the Western attitude towards Jews shifted, transforming from a state to one of support for them as a functional group. The book also sheds light on several early settlement attempts in various locations, predating the establishment of the settler-colonial state by hundreds of years.
