Anton Chekhov was a Russian physician, playwright, and short story writer. He is considered one of the best short story writers in history and a leading Russian literary authority. He wrote short stories that are considered classic artistic creations, as well as plays that influenced 20th-century drama. Chekhov began writing while a medical student at Moscow University and continued writing until he became one of the greatest writers while maintaining a medical career. He won the Pushkin Prize in 1888 AD, and he was a lover of theater and literature since his childhood, and his style was characterized by brevity, condensation and elegance, and is considered one of the most beautiful writing styles in the Russian language. In most of his early works, Chekhov showed the influence of early Russian novelists such as Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and in his plays during these years he focused primarily on the general atmosphere and characters, which he found could be more important than events and plots. Those characters were often lonely and desperate, but internal conflicts had a great significance in his works, and his stories had a special character through which he painted for us pictures of Russian society before the revolution, which are still immortal. Chekhov was famous for his sarcastic comments, and participated In acting, he embodied comic characters, and from there it can truly be said that he wrote his first short works. Chekhov did not miss an opportunity to learn about the secrets of the human soul without seizing it. We will find these characteristics clearly evident while you read Hall 6.
