This is a concise work compiled by the scholar "Abu al-Diya' Khalil" on the Maliki school of thought. In it, he clarifies the fatwas of Imam Malik ibn Anas, indicating the Mudawwanah with "fiha" (in it), the disagreement among its commentators on its understanding with "awwal" (first), the choice of Al-Khamni with "al-ikhtiyar" (the choice), and the preference of Ibn Yunus with "al-tarjih" (the preference). Similarly, he indicates the apparent opinion of Ibn Rushd with "al-zuhur" (the apparent) and the saying of Al-Maziri with "al-qawl" (the saying). Wherever he states "khilaf" (disagreement), it refers to a disagreement in popularity. Wherever he mentions two or more opinions, it is due to his lack of access to explicit evidence for that particular branch of law.
