"Marah Al-Walid" is a story that narrates the biography of the Umayyad Caliph Al-Walid bin Yazid bin Abdul-Malik, who died a martyr during the dispute over the Caliphate. The reason for this name is that Al-Walid was a young man known for his playfulness, frivolity, and love of prostitutes. He was appointed crown prince after his uncle, Caliph Hisham bin Abdul-Malik. However, Hisham was looking to grant the crown prince to his son, and used Al-Walid's frivolity as a pretext to usurp power from him. Hisham deployed all his deceitful equipment to serve this purpose. The conflict between Al-Walid and his cousin Yazid was not only rooted in the intense scramble for the caliphate, but it expanded to affect hearts as well. Al-Walid disputed Yazid's love for "Salma," who died after she married Al-Walid, whom Yazid killed in order to monopolize the caliphate.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
