In this book, the writer discusses the character of Zubaydah, who was known in history books as “Ghada Rashid” because she was unique in her magical beauty among the beautiful girls of Rashid. In order for this prophecy to come true, she married the French ruler “Jacques-Francois Menou” — who came to Rashid during the French occupation — because he possessed power and the scepter. However, in her view, he was more defenseless than the equipment of power that “Menou” enjoyed. However, the vicissitudes of fate differ from human prophecies. The beautiful young lady sold her present glory and pure love for a sterile hope, for which she sold her homeland and her lover, and replaced them with thrones adorned with the glitter of falsehood. She ended up losing her loved ones and friends, and she woke up from her dream, which became a mirage in the constitution of reality, and found herself having sold the purity of conscience and the honor of the homeland, for the sake of a heartless general; but he belongs to the human race.
