The Lebanese writer, philosopher, poet, and painter (1883-1931), who made his way from the remote town of Bsharri to the world, succeeded, through his prolific output, in enriching the global library, not just the Arab one, through books that have entered history as classics of human literary heritage. The week passed, and Selma's love sat with me in the evening, singing songs of happiness to me and awakening me at dawn to show me the meanings of life and the secrets of being. A sublime love that knows no envy because it is rich, and does not hurt the body because it is within the soul. A strong inclination that overwhelms the soul with contentment. A deep hunger that fills the heart with sufficiency. An emotion that generates longing but does not arouse it. A fascination that made me walk in the fields in the morning and see in the awakening of nature a symbol of eternity, and sit on the seashore and hear eternal songs from its waves...
