"Al-Jami' al-Musnad as-Sahih al-Mukhtasar min Umur Rasul Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wa Sunanihi wa Ayyamih," famously known as "Sahih al-Bukhari," is the most prominent book of Prophetic Hadith among Sunni Muslims. It was compiled by Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari over sixteen years, and he selected its hadiths from six hundred thousand hadiths he had collected. The book holds a prominent position among Sunnis as it is one of the six books considered primary sources of hadith for them, and it is the first book compiled solely on authentic hadith. It is also considered by them to be the most authentic book after the Holy Quran. (1) Sahih al-Bukhari is considered one of the Jami' books, which include all chapters of hadith, such as beliefs, rulings, exegesis, history, asceticism, manners, and others.
