This book represents the first detailed biography that tells the story of the life of Lieutenant General Saad El Shazly, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces in the October War of 1973; his actions, battles, ideas, plans, and strategic visions, as well as a glimpse into various aspects of his personal life.
The first edition of this book was published in January 2012, less than a year after the death of General Shazly, as an attempt to restore his reputation. This caused a great stir in cultural circles concerned with strategic history, and subsequent editions of the book followed. The Egyptian state restored the reputation of the hero whose rights had been neglected for many years for personal reasons.
Later, Egypt and the Arab region witnessed major political events that foreshadowed some of the scenarios the man had predicted, scenarios aimed at destabilizing and unifying the Arab world. Predictions that some had considered pure fantasy proved true.
In this expanded and renewed edition, author Mustafa Obeid opens a wider window to view the Egyptian national military hero and one of its immortal symbols, updating some information about his biography, and publishing rare and new photos of him.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
