It is not easy to describe the intensity of my admiration and amazement when I first set foot in Tokyo Airport and saw the Japanese flight attendants and staff, their beauty, cleanliness, order and smiles. These were unforgettable moments. At that moment, my eyes sparkled and my tongue could only utter one word: "Wow."
An absolutely wonderful airport, with smiles that never leave their faces, the utmost kindness, order, lightness, and grace of the flight attendants and staff. Writing a series of articles about my love for Japan's airport isn't enough. It's as if I've truly landed on another planet, a planet from the world of imagination. A state of amazement has taken hold of me, and the strangest thing is that, a year into my life in Japan, I'm still writing the details of that day with the same amazement.
I waited at Tokyo airport for a few hours until my last flight to Hokkaido, where the Japanese tea was served to us, and I had never tasted it before. A Japanese lady was sitting next to me and she was admiring my son the whole way. To them, he was a child from a parallel universe, unlike their own children, and that's why he was interesting. But my son was also a troublemaker. He wanted to play with his green tea cup, but there were still a few drops of tea in it, so my son spilled the rest on the lady. I was extremely embarrassed, but the lady insisted on petting him, smiling at him and playing with him too. That plane was the nicest plane I have ever been on. How I wished that lady had stayed next to my son until I got home!
