In 2019, during the renovation of "Bir El Watwat Inn," next to "Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque" in "Sayeda Zeinab" neighborhood, diaries dating back to 1865 were found, buried behind the wall of room number seven on the third floor of the inn building, and well preserved. This book includes diaries from number "34" to "53" without deletion or revision. These are the only diaries suitable for publication, in which "Suleiman Effendi El Sioufi," a photographer of the dead, recorded events in the years before the establishment of an organized police force. He was tasked with uncovering the truth about the horrific death of a Pasha, and with his inherited expertise in analyzing crime scenes, he discovers that the death was a deliberate murder, and the perpetrator left a memento with his victim, before realizing that this crime was merely the first in a series of assassinations, which he effortlessly understood would end with him.
