The book of tales "Al-Fashoush fi Hukm Qaraqush" (The Fool's Tales under the Rule of Qaraqush) is a highly significant literary work and a political stance of immense significance. Born from the womb of the creativity of Egyptian folklore during the Ayyubid era, it was nurtured in Mamluk Egypt, matured in Ottoman Egypt, and reached us through successive eras in the form of the book "Al-Tiraz Al-Manqoush fi Hukm Al-Sultan Qaraqush," becoming an important historical document. Between Ibn Mammati (d. 606 AH), Ibn Shahin Al-Zahiri (d. 873 AH), Al-Suyuti (d. 911 AH), and Abd Al-Salam Al-Laqqani (d. 1078 AH) to this auspicious day... oral messages from the depths of history open windows into the past, containing within them the philosophy of our ancestors and their profound understanding of the human soul. Tales died and tales were born, and between their death and birth, they drew new values ​​and made history, taking us back more than once to the idea of ​​truth in recording history, and admitting that some of what the narrators narrated was “lie”… but he lied in order to convey to us the “truth”; and to make the reality of yesterday rise again within us. The amount of honesty and truthfulness contained in this deceived book is only matched by the amount of injustice that spreads throughout its corners… They persecuted its tales as if they were a devil who cannot stand the Quran of the believers. They sided with “Qaraqosh” and described him as one of those who history has wronged and oppressed, and that the time has come for him to clear his name. But Ibn Mammati was an example of one of the Egyptian intellectuals who harnessed their awareness and culture in the service of the Egyptian popular community and its orientations, and Qaraqush became a symbol of these tales...
