From the beginning of the Crusades to the end of the Ottoman Empire

The Crusades were nothing more than a military clash and a long, arduous cultural confrontation between the Arab-Islamic East and the Catholic European West. This confrontation began at a time when Arab-Islamic civilization had reached its peak of maturity and development. In the midst of this conflict, the weaknesses of the Arab-Islamic world were revealed, along with the strengths that helped it withstand and triumph over the Crusader invasions. While the Crusades were not the cause of the stagnation and stagnation of Arab-Islamic civilization, those wars, which lasted for more than two centuries, were among the most important factors in draining the creative impetus of Arab-Islamic civilization, leading to its stagnation and subsequent backwardness. The Arab world had to mobilize all its human, economic, political, military, social, and cultural energies and capabilities in the field of military action, as well as in the moral and cultural work accompanying war. Thus, the Arab region had to reshape its entire life on the basis that war was the center of its life. Despite all this, the Arab world had not yet entered a period of decline, as the future still held some of the most important economic, military, and cultural achievements of Arab-Islamic civilization.
