The American Trap

In this book, Frédéric Pierucci, former executive of an Alstom Energy branch, recounts his experience with the American judiciary in one of the most serious corruption cases that shook public opinion worldwide. This text, co-written with journalist Mathieu Aron, comes within the framework of presenting the methods and means adopted by the American administration to subjugate multinational European companies, especially French ones, under the pretext of combating corruption, in its endeavor to dominate the energy sector and acquire the largest share of it. The case of the French company Alstom is a living example of this; Pierucci was imprisoned and the American judiciary leveled corruption charges against him, subjecting him to the worst forms of extortion, which forced his company to abandon him and sell its assets to the American company General Electric. The book "The American Trap" recounts Pierucci's harsh experience from the moment he set foot on American soil on a business trip, until he left it returning to France after moving between several American prisons, where he experienced the devious methods of the American judiciary.
