Horror Island

Tariq walked until he reached the shore of the island, but he noticed something strange.

The second island did not appear before him as a distant point, as Amin had told him.

He said to himself: Oh God, I left the same place I came in from, and he thought of walking along the tree wall until he reached the opposite side, but would he arrive in time to meet Amin?

His train of thought was interrupted by the sound of a snake's hissing coming from behind him, but it was much louder than he had heard every time. He turned around nervously to find the angry snake emerging from over the tangled tree wall, looking at him with eyes from which sparks were igniting. Tariq felt that this was the end of him and decided that he would not allow this snake to hunt him as easy prey. He took his dagger out of its sheath and headed towards the snake, which was now only a few steps away from him.

Tariq jumped and stabbed the snake in the eye, gouging it out.

The snake hissed terrifyingly and then attacked Tariq again, who fell face down on the ground.
