Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may God’s prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his companions.

Now then:

“Al-Rawd Al-Murabba’” is a book that has been accepted by scholars. It is now explained in lessons at mosques and universities, and is used by students, sheikhs, professors, and judges. In short, this book has attained a high status, unlike any other book or text.

It is a well-edited book, rich in benefits and numerous rewards. Its author is a great scholar, known for his thoroughness, religious commitment and good conduct. He was a reference for people in the school of Ahmad. He edited and explained it and did his best to refine and correct it. For this reason, his book “Al-Rawd” is worthy of this status it has attained among the people of knowledge. This is known by whoever reads the book carefully and understands the fine craftsmanship contained in it.

The book Al-Rawd Al-Murabba’ has many advantages, perhaps the most prominent of which is the quality of the selection of issues added to “Al-Zad”. Sheikh Mansour added the jurisprudential issues so that they form, along with “Al-Zad”, the most important jurisprudential issues.

Therefore, whoever reads and understands Al-Rawdh will have covered most of the important issues in the chapters of jurisprudence, and this is a matter of utmost importance, as is evident. In view of this lofty status that the book has attained, I wanted to write about it.

An explanation that clarifies its meanings, simplifies its issues, and brings its distant aspects closer.

I have named it: Al-Tawdih Al-Muqni’ Sharh Al-Rawd Al-Murabba’ (The Convincing Explanation of Al-Rawd Al-Murabba’). I had multiple objectives for this explanation, but the most important of these objectives for me is what relates to the scientific foundations. It became clear to me through numerous meetings with students of knowledge in lessons, scientific gatherings, and other settings that students of knowledge are in need of a book that focuses on the aspect of deep and deliberate scientific foundations, far from studying jurisprudence in a brief, concise, and quick manner. This abbreviated method has affected the level of conceptualization and understanding of knowledge among many students of knowledge. I do not claim that this book fully achieves this objective, but it is the effort of the limited, and as the saying goes: “What cannot be fully grasped, the majority of it should not be abandoned.”

The book “Al-Rawdh Al-Murabba’” is an explanation of the text “Zad Al-Mustaqni’,” as is known, and “Al-Zad” is an abbreviation of the text “Al-Muqni’.” Therefore, in this introduction, I will mention a definition of these three books: “Al-Muqni’,” “Al-Zad,” and “Al-Rawdh,” and their authors.
