The Companions took great care to convey and explain the description of the Prophet’s Hajj, peace and blessings be upon him. They narrated what they saw and heard. Among those who took great care in conveying the description of the Prophet’s Hajj was the noble Companion Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him). He narrated to us the description of the Prophet’s Hajj from the time he left Madinah until he performed the Tawaf of the Day of Sacrifice for the Farewell Prayer and the Dhuhr Prayer in Makkah. All of that was in a unified manner, with clear expressions and an organized context, as narrated by Imam Muslim in his Sahih. Thus, it is considered a ritual that has no parallel among the hadiths related to Hajj, and it includes many benefits related to Hajj and other matters. Sheikh Abdullah Al-Fawzan explained the hadith in a way that is neither too long and boring nor too short and lacking in detail. He highlighted some of its valuable features and outlined its benefits according to its context and arrangement, whether related to Hajj or otherwise. He completed the explanation with the rituals of the Days of Tashreeq, the Farewell Tawaf, and the description of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) return from Hajj, because Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) did not mention any of that in this context.
