With every step he took in the middle of the desert, he wished he could turn back, but he realized that what he was about to do was the only solution.

After an hour of exhausting walking, he finally stopped, took a deep breath and looked at the sky, which looked like a painting in the soft colors of sunset. He started to take off his clothes, feeling the cold air making his skin goosebumps. He then bit his hand hard until blood started to ooze. He drew a circle on the sand with drops of his blood and whispered cryptic words, his lips trembling. “Renewed from the oath of the unknown night, opening the door of imagination and not realizing the seasons…” The ground shook violently under his feet, causing him to fall onto the cold sand. He closed his eyes, wishing that all of this was nothing but a nightmare.
