This is his collection of short stories (Nine Tales), written in 1953. Salinger joined the US Army during World War II, and his harsh experience had a profound impact on him. Anyone who reads the stories in this collection will see with their own eyes a picture of Salinger's suffering in the army and war. The book also includes his very famous story (A Good Day for Bananafish), followed by other stories in which he used dialogues as windows to convey his messages to readers.
Each story immerses the reader in the realms of American society and the lives of its individuals. These stories are like daily diaries revolving around loneliness, deception, and annihilation, and they all take on the character of dialogues drawn from everyday life.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
