Since the servant's happiness in both worlds is linked to the guidance of the Prophet, peace be upon him, it is incumbent upon anyone who advises himself and desires his salvation and happiness to know of his guidance, biography, and affairs that which will remove him from the ignorant and enroll him among his followers, partisans, and party.
People in this regard are divided between those who have little, those who have much, and those who are deprived. And grace is in the hand of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great grace.

This book illuminates the path of guidance by introducing us to our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, by mentioning his lineage, circumcision, foster mothers, prophethood, paternal uncles, paternal aunts, wives, concubines, freed slaves, servants, scribes and books, muezzins, commanders, guards, and others.

Then, it moves on to the jurisprudence of the Prophet's biography, mentioning many of his actions and sayings, peace be upon him, in all matters. Then it mentions the Prophet's military expeditions and detachments, peace be upon him, to understand how he, peace be upon him, fought the disbelievers for the sake of spreading the call to the Oneness of Allah.
After that, it mentions the delegations that came to him, one by one.
The author dedicated a chapter to Prophetic medicine, mentioning the sayings and actions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in treating many illnesses.
The book concludes with his rulings, peace be upon him, on many matters, including: his ruling on someone who killed his slave, for example.
This book is considered the best provision for the best return.
