Man may not have been created to be alone, but he is alone nonetheless. Even if he is married, he remains alone and an outcast on the surface of a planet orbiting in space at 29.79 km per second. A man is born... he runs... he rushes to live... he reads books... he goes to the cinema... he suffers... he eats breakfast... he dies... Sometimes, during all this, it may seem to him that he was not created for eternal celibacy. He may then seek to fall in love, which means lying to a beautiful woman, and to himself in equal measure.

Let's see him with an understanding and compassionate eye: trying to be liked, to gain popularity like a candidate in an electoral campaign. Does he doubt he will be able to achieve what he promises? He might try to convince himself that he is happy... getting married... having children... taking color photographs in an attempt to immortalize all things that are fleeting. How touching it is to see him in these shots, holding a baby dressed all in pink, who doesn't yet know that he too will end up alone. One of his hands holds his wife's hand, squeezing it. Is it to prevent her from leaving or just to reassure himself?
