The caravan didn't take little Yahya to where he was supposed to go. Places in his life are scattered, moving away from one another, just as supposed families are scattered. But a thread ties the scattered parts of his film into one: the biography, with its different narrators. The distances between Jeddah and his original village grow farther, as Jeddah grows in his young eyes. And as the city grows, he shrinks in relation to it. Life goes on, his life as a young man, with its possibilities. However, the image of the children who were made slaves remained fresh in his memory, which did not age. He did, in fact, join those who promised him salvation and appeared in his eyes as saviors. However, his story, like the stories of many victims, continued to gasp after major events and impossible emotions. In the end, the ability to endure ceased, for "every day the sun rises to kill a dream we were living."
