The years jostle in his mind... He is the narrator who races against time, thinking he is deceiving time, even though his negligence has contributed to it passing faster. Through his daily narration with "Nino," his daughter's cat, his partner in daily life and in old age, we see how the sick old cat and age lurk around him. "At this age that we are both at, we can fight over the sofa and the bed. I can be disgusted by his old age and thus free myself from my feelings towards my own old age. I can push him away with my foot. But I cannot kill him while God is preparing to kill me." His story with "Nino" intersects with the tape of his life, including stages of his female relationships. Ikram appears, who comes to love him for nothing else, while he lives his other relationship with Inas. "Nino" remains a negative, reflecting the stages he fears to live through, leading up to the final moment of death.
