Over the Republic Bridge

The novel deals with the lives of three simultaneous generations of a Baghdadi family, witnessing the moment of the invasion of Baghdad in April 2003, as the smoke of war rises above the bridge, and seagulls flee from the direction of the school from which the mother and her two daughters graduated, and life returns strange. Escape becomes a path to salvation in new geographies. Love, death, friendship, the intertwining of parallel worlds and intersecting destinies in multiple voices, in which the narrator occupies the largest space, then she stops for a long time to listen to the voice of the absent mother, which carries all that longing, and sheds light on her forgotten childhood in intimate places
