And men's help in making life safer, easier, and more comfortable made them heroes in the eyes of women. As long as each partner performed their essential tasks, men and women felt satisfied. Century after century, the challenges of survival remained paramount, and the division of labor between men and women remained essentially the same. Now, life has changed dramatically; we no longer rely entirely on each other for security and survival, and the rules and strategies of our ancestors have become obsolete.
