When silence reigns between us, his face seems to me like a word on the tip of my tongue, and I'm always afraid of feeling superior to him. One often feels superior to someone who's had a bad day. Even offering consolation and consolation to another is not without a sense of superiority. Therefore, it is good for one to realize that there is no great difference between a good day and a bad one, to know that life has been fulfilling its mission perfectly from the very beginning, and to view this mission with as little as possible of astonishment, lest the mind be broken by it and the soul collapse on it.
There are many situations where I avoided being happy. I just dealt with things like I deal with drinking water while it was available. I never got lost in the desert and got water at the last gasp to know how I really felt then, but I will certainly deal with the situation as it is while getting water at the last gasp. I will not say that it is a unique incident because it happened.
The unique thing about this life is that one stops being a hero out of importance, as long as immortality is not his concern. The love of heroism throws its owner into a failure that he does not see until the moment he feels the magnitude of his loss of things that were within his reach, and the reality of their value exceeds the reality of those things that he sought after breathlessly with a tremendous effort not devoid of a person’s hypocrisy with himself. I believe that the only importance of a person in this life lies in his deep feeling as a being who was exposed to killing and harm throughout his life and yet remained alive, drinking water while it was available. When silence falls between us, his face seems to resemble a word on the tip of the tongue, and I am always afraid to feel superior to him. One usually feels superior to someone who's having a bad day. Even offering condolences and sympathy to others comprises, to some extent, a slight feeling of superiority, and for that reason, one of the human perception's advantages is to not feel much of a difference between a good day and a bad day, and to realize that life is doing its mission to the fullest from its beginning, and to perceive its mission with the least possible astonishment, so that the mind and soul are not crestfallen by it.
There were many situations in which I avoided being happy. I used to dispassionately interact with things the way I drink water as long as it's available, and it has never happened that I got lost in the desert and got to the point that I quench my thirst with a sip of water before my very last breath in order to realize the emotions I was experiencing at that moment, but I will definitely deal with the situation as if I'm sipping water just before my last breath, and I will not say that it is an uncommon incident, because it did happen.
The exceptional thing in this life is when a person puts an end to his egoistic heroism (heroic acts that are done for selfishness) as long as the question of immortality is none of his business. Admiring the act of heroism throws its owner into a failure that is only seen the moment he feels the extent of things he lost, which were just within his reach, and its true value exceeds the reality of the things he sought after, while panting with a massive effort that conveys one's hypocrisy with himself, and I think the human being's only importance in this life lies in his profound feeling as a creature who has been abused and slayed his entire life, and yet survived, drinking water whenever it is available.
