The novel unfolds during the Syrian revolution/war, telling three stories of three protagonists in their youth, specifically at the beginning of the events. These stories are linked by a subtle, almost invisible thread, revealed to the reader only at the end. The author suggests two types of conflicts. The first depicts generational struggles between fathers and sons, or mothers as in the first story, implying that rebellion against the past begins within the inner circle—the family—before extending to the outer circles, where we encounter the second type of conflict: the Syrian people taking to the streets in protest. This idea of linking rebellion against the family, and then against the authorities, is a relatively novel approach to the Syrian conflict.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
