This book tells the story of the conflict between East and West during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries AD. This conflict was embodied in the wars known as the Crusades, whose horrific idea grew as a result of economic, political, and social factors. Despite their religious character, they were far removed from it, as they carried within them colonial ideas and goals. This mad storm blew, leaving a deep wound in the life of humanity. These horrific wars renewed the violent struggle between East and West in the Trojan and Roman Wars, and the Persian and Greek Wars. They inaugurated the struggle that broke out between them generations after the flames of the Crusades had died down: the West's struggle to colonize and exploit the East, and the East's struggle for its liberation and independence. This influential struggle has reached its peak in our present age.
