I was here yesterday

We are all grieving, men and women alike. Bereavement makes no distinction between men and women, but there is a grief that passes by unnoticed, forgotten in the hustle and bustle of our lives, and there is a grief that clings to the walls of our hearts, remaining with us until we depart this world. There is a pain that flows beneath our feet, and there is a pain that engulfs us, offering no escape, pulling us down into its depths like quicksand. Grief is a universal experience, affecting both men and women equally. Grief does not discriminate based on gender. Yet, there is a fleeting grief that often goes unnoticed, drowned out by the noise and bustle of life. And then there is the kind of grief that clings to the walls of our hearts, a constant companion that stays with us even as we leave this world. There is a pain that flows beneath our feet, and there is a pain so deep that our feet sink into it, rendering us unable to escape its grasp, just as we are swept into quicksand.
