The novel explores the chains of deception, trickery, and disappointments we experience in our lives. The author narrates the events in a striking, engaging, and distinctive style, full of excitement and suspense. He jumps between events, places, and times, and from one story to another suddenly and without any introduction, leaving the door open for the reader to infer many things he never even touches upon—a hallmark of the author's work.
The novel raises many questions and arouses anxiety and fear in the soul. There is no one who has not been deceived, swindled, cheated or betrayed. Most of us have been exposed to (thieves) and have drunk from their cup.
