xالكتابة بحثت عن الأجوبة. باقة أسئلة توح ببق التباسات الجميلة، تلك التي تضفي على كل شيء في داخلك. كتابة فعل تطهّر، أو فعل الانتقام للذاكرة. الهامة كانت، فهي صرخة.بطل «فونوغراف» يتابع رحلة مؤلمة في الذاكرة بدأها في «لن أتمكن من التخرج». بجرعة بوح عالية، ينكث جراح الفقد والانتزاع والتيه.من كان ذلك الوالد الذي أهمله؟ تلك الأم التي يشغلها المستأجر رصيفًا في كل ميناء؟ تلك الجدة التي لا تعرف غير حضنها حضناً؟ تلك الهويّة المنسالة التي لم تقترن بأرض واحدة؟ هنا بيروت المستعصية. هنا بغداد النازفة. هنا الغرب البارد. هنا المطارات... أوّلًا وأخيرًا...الكتاب بحث عن الأجوبة. وهذا كتاب لا يبدأ بأولى صفحاته ولا ينتهي بآخر واحد منها. هو بعض تدفّق الحبر من نهر وجع لا يزال لا يزال طويلاً عن مصبّ. الكتابة هي بحث لا ينتهي عن إجابات، وهي عبارة عن باقة من الأسئلة المشبعه بعطر التعقيدات المعقده، والتي تثري كل سطح. الكتابة بمثابة فعل تطهير أو فعل انتقام للذاكرة. أيا كان غرضها، فإنها تتردد كصرخة بدائية.
ينطلق بطل رواية "فونوغراف" في رحلة مؤلمة عبر الذاكرة، وهي الرحلة التي بدأها في كتابه "لن أترك بيتي". وبجرعة كبيرة من الاعتراف، يتعمق في جراح الإهمال والانفصال وفقدان التوجه.
من كان ذلك الأب الذي تجاهله؟ تلك الأم التي أمنت له مسكناً في كل ميناء؟ تلك الجدة التي لم يعرف لها حضناً سواها؟ تلك الهوية المراوغة المنفصلة عن أي أرض؟ على جانب بيروت المتمردة، وعلى جانب بغداد الباكية، ثم هناك الغرب البارد. وهنا تقع المطارات... أولاً وقبل كل شيء... تظل الكتابة بحثاً لا ينقطع عن الإجابات. هذا الكتاب لا يبدأ بصفحته الأولى ولا ينتهي بصفحته الأخيرة؛ إنه قليل من الحبر يتدفق من نهر طويل من الألم، لا يزال يبحث عن منفذ.
